Thankful Thoughts - January 9, 2017

I am thankful for homemade soup on a day when we both have sore throats and colds. I made turkey noodle soup for supper using leftover turkey from our New Year's dinner and my sister's recipe that is easy and delicious, along with grilled cheese sandwiches. Soup is great comfort food.

    1. Thank You, Mimi! Colds are more a miserable nuisance than a true hardship, we know they will pack up their Kleenex and depart before long! :-)

  2. Sorry you guys aren't up to your usual perky selves. Homemade soup is the best and so much better for you than canned soup.

    1. Papa Bear brought home a cold he caught from his coworkers and shared it with me. At least we are sharing the misery. :-) Soup was the perfect choice, I will probably make a different kind today. Heavy food doesn't sound good at the moment.

    1. Thank you, Ellen! Colds eventually wear themselves out, it just seems to take a little longer when you are older. Papa Bear stayed home today and I am glad, he needs the time to rest and recover. Being on your feet at work all day when you are sick is miserable.
