Thankful Thoughts - January 5, 2017

I am thankful for Zoe offering to pick up Six Sentence Stories after I had set it aside. I love the challenge of writing with a cue word and length limitations, even if we do cheat a bit with run-on sentences. :-)  I look forward to every Thursday and reading what everyone has shared. If you've never tried it, come and join us some week, it's fun!

  1. That looks like quite a challenge, and yes, I'd say that run-on sentences would be a necessity!

Really loved your comments at my place. I too am so excited to see that we might actually get our community back together, Fingers crossed. I will post about my issues soon, although i feel nobody wants to read about that. UGH. My email is still the same as it has always been --- holy crap -- for more than twenty years now!!

Biggest hugs to you -- :)

    1. Let's just say I've become a master of the semi-colon and my former teachers would surely groan. :-) I am really excited about that too, Jamie! It was so awesome to share our days with each other, and keep up on each other's lives! Once a week updates probably feels less pressured than showing up each day when it hurts so much to do so. Weekly is way better than yearly! :-)) I want to read about your issues, I want to know what's going on and how you feel about it. Our buddy Frank lives in continuous pain now too, I've messaged him, but not sure if he'll be up to blogging. He's staying pretty quiet, which we know is rare for him. :-) That's the email address I still had in my book, thanks! <3

    1. They really are fun because they don't take lots of time and don't have to be a polished effort. Your Djinn story is amazing, the plot gets more intriguing every week and I can tell you put a lot of thought into it!

  3. I like the idea of this challenge, but I fear I would have great difficulty in keeping it to six sentences! ha.

    1. I never thought I could do it, until I tried. It's a good challenge for people like me who tend to be a bit "wordy" when writing... ok, a lot wordy. :-) You will note from the stories that we do cheat a bit, Zoe is pretty tolerant of what defines a "sentence". But the fact that they are very short stories makes it fun to write and read them without too much time invested. Give it a try some week!
