Thankful Thoughts - January 30, 2017

Tonight I am so thankful that my disabled senior friend has been able to find a good caring home for his beloved pit bull.  He will be moving to town this coming weekend and the trailer park where he will live does not allow pit bulls.  He has raised this dog from a puppy and was so worried about what would become of him.  It was hard enough to say goodbye, but the lady who adopted him was just right, maybe an angel in disguise.  I am also grateful that he will be able to keep his little doxy dog.

  1. My heart goes out to him. It's so difficult to get to a point where you cannot stay in your home or familiar surroundings, having to give up a pet makes it harder. Many blessings to the lady who is going to take this dog!

    1. He is looking forward to the move, to have access to city services and hopefully to connect with some new friends. His life is very lonely now. Having to give up his beloved dog was the hard part, and I was really worried about what would happen, it appears that God had this in hand, just as He always does! :-)

    1. Yes, so very good, and he is at peace with it, which is most important. Giving up an animal you love is the hardest thing to do, and if there was another option he would have taken it.

  3. Awwww, this made me sooo happy. Because I know it's a tough breed to find homes for and people have such misconceptions about them. how wonderful.

    1. It couldn't have worked out better! More prayers answered! Pit Bulls making wonderful loving family members if they are raised with love, just like with people, meanness is learned, not instinctive.
