Thankful Thoughts - January 10, 2017

I am thankful for our four furkids, they add so much love and laughter to our lives. They have filled up the vacant spots in our "empty nest" and are never far from wherever we are in the house.  At least one is always occupying a lap or within arm's reach, at the moment they all are.  They love us unconditionally, and always greet us at the door. The house would be far too quiet without them. <3 <3 <3 <3

  1. Even when the kids are still around, the fuzzy members of the family add so much love to the house!

    1. That's true, Mimi! We had cats when the children were still at home, and the antics of cats and kids combined never ended. :-)

  3. I would be thankful if our kitty would stop crying at the door all hours. I mean, he is not an outdoor cat. And it's the middle of freezing winter??? I took him out and set him on the cold, snowy driveway the other day so he could see how cold it was, and he just stood there and shivered. Then ran back inside. 10 minutes later? Crying at the door again. Oye. Ya gotta love them LOL

    1. The working of feline minds will probably forever remain a mystery, Rory Bore, though I suspect the problem is more due to our inability to understand their language and what they are trying to say.

  4. I love when you write about your kitties. Like us, to you, they're your family.

I've never really understood or trusted people that don't LOVE animals.

    Hugs. :)

    1. They are indeed our family, Jamie, we refer to them as "the kids", and they are certainly treated with all the love and privileges there of. They get by with more than my kids ever did when they were growing up! I am puzzled by people who have no affection for animals, because the animals love us so unconditionally. Nothing beats the joy of being greeted by a cat or a dog after you've been away. They are truly happy to see us, and want to be near us, though I can never figure out why they prefer our company.
