jabberings, jottings, and jumbled thoughts
It goes fast. When i think about such things, i remember Captain Jim in one of the Anne of Green Gables books, how he used to say, "It doesn't take long to stay an hour." It also doesn't take long to have a lot happen in life.
True! At the time events are happening it seems to take forever to work your way through them, but when you look back it was just a moment in time, and dozens of them in just a few months. Now I look back and see all that has transpired in the world and in my life in sixty years... it's both amazing and at times overwhelming!
A year goes by so fast, but a lot does happen. I have enjoyed watching my great niece go from an infant to a walking, talking ( a little) toddler.
Children grow and change so rapidly in those first years... it's an exciting time to see their joy in learning and accomplishing new tasks! If only we were cheered on like that as we grew older!
The year just went so fast.. which I seem to say every single year of course. But thankfully, we had a pretty low key year this year. We have many blessings to count and I am thankful for that.
In retrospect it did go fast, while at the time it sometimes felt like a snail's pace. It seems the older I get the more quickly months tumble over months and season flip in the blink of an eye. We have many blessings to count too, some pretty amazing ones at that!
Your comments are always appreciated... they make me smile! :-)
