jabberings, jottings, and jumbled thoughts
Thank you for sharing this. I taught this to my children and I'm glad I did because instead of wanting pricey gifts each year, they want things that are sentimental and that's pretty cool to me. (Of course I still end up buying them something expensive...but still it's not expected) :)
My children weren't raised with a mountain of Christmas gifts either, Elsie, and like yours they have grown up to be appreciative of small meaningful gifts. We keep our gift exchanges to a bare minimum compared to most families and yet Christmas feels just as good if not better because of it.
Christmas is the hugs you get.
Yes it is, it's all about the love, from the very first Christmas gift... the Christ Child.
I love The Grinch, one of my favorite lines.
I love that story too, Ellen! Yes, I would like to engrave this message in everyone's hearts! Stop the buying madness and make some Christmas magic with your family and friends!
Your comments are always appreciated... they make me smile! :-)
