Weary

WEARY
She grew weary of having it pointed out to her
that she didn't measure up, didn't think or act correctly,
weary of the denials and the disguise which fooled so many...
or perhaps she alone was the target for some insidious reason
At any rate she was done with it as blood flowed from her wounds

write a story or poem of 5 Lines or Less using the word weary

  1. Please don't ever let yourself get that weary. That message is to anyone, anywhere.

    1. Amen to that, Mimi. Don't let anyone ever drag you down that far. Life cycles, and better times and people will come into your life again!

    1. I agree with you Ellen, if we were all more honest and caring in our relationships no one would ever feel that destroyed.

  4. Oh dear, so relatable in a lot of ways. People can really drag you down into an absolute pit of WEARY, if you allow them. I had someone who always corrected me and pointed out flaws - I had to end the friendship because it was just that: weary!

    1. I recently had to do the same, Rory Bore. As much as it saddened me, it because a burden rather than a joy, and life is too short to carry on like that.
