Friendly Fill-Ins: Week 22

Annie at McGuffy's Reader and Ellen at 15andmeowing are co-hosting a weekly meme called Friendly Fill-In'sAll you have to do to participate is complete the statements and link your post up hereThis is a fun way to get to know each other a little better!

Here are the this week's statements:

1. My favorite store is __________________.

2. An unanswered prayer I am thankful for is ____________________.

3.  At Halloween I ___________________.

4.  I _______________ the supernatural because _________________.

 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Here are my answers:

1. My favorite store is Amazon.com - great prices, free shipping, armchair shopping! :-) If more businesses provided the kind of customer service they do it would be wonderful!

2. An unanswered prayer I am thankful for is the time I wanted to move back to South Dakota near the end of my last marriage and I couldn't find a way to make it happen.  I detest South Dakota winters, what was I thinking?!

3.  At Halloween I don't do much of anything because I am at home now and we rarely have any visitors where we live out in the country. I think it's fun to wear costumes to work on Halloween, it makes coworkers, visitors, and people who see you out driving smile.  I'm not a fan of the new super-slutty Halloween costume trend for women though. UGH!

4.  I believe in the supernatural because of my own experiences and those of others I know.  I think people sometimes deny the existence of things they hope are not true out of fear or a desire to remain "in the dark".

  2. I'm with you on South Dakota....or even Illinois where I'm from. Too cold in the winter.

  3. Hi! Amazon is a great place to shop (for kitty stuff too)! I see a theme with moving on several posts for #2. I imagine South Dakota winters would be very cold! I haven't seen the slutty costumes, thankfully, but it doesn't surprise me unfortunately. Great answers!

  4. When you were nearing the end of your marriage, maybe you simply wanted "home" and at that time, home to you meant South Dakota. When we are hurting we all tend to want home, after all.

  5. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, nice answers. I love Amazon too, especially at Christmas. I like to go regular shopping for ideas then find the stuff cheaper on Amazon. I don't like slutty costumes either.Have a nice weekend!

  6. I agree that the super slutty costumes are not a good idea. For many, that just gives them the opportunity to dress more slutty than they usually do. Women should want to be appreciated for their minds.

  7. I agree with you about the slutty costumes. Some trends just need to not be.

#1 YES! It would be great if everyone offered the great service that Amazon usually provides. I wish that we could do all of our shopping online, groceries included.

Great answers, Josie. :) Have a great weekend!

  9. Do you & John have any Halloween traditions? When Bill is home, we always watch old Boris Karlov...or Young Frankenstein! You know how I feel about the supernatural.
