You're right Mimi. I can't always get rid of what's bothering me, but I can redirect my mind to focus on something else, something more positive.
This one is a real boot to the head wake up call. I've never thought of it like that. I will try to keep this thought in mind as I try to redirect the negative thoughts that seem to have taken over. Thank you!
It's pretty easy to let that happen, for me too Suzanne. When I find myself in negative mode I try to make a conscious effort to go a whole day without complaining even once, and then another and another until I get back to focusing on more positive things. There are difficulties and worries in our lives that we must deal with, but we don't want to let them take the joy out of living.
