    1. I like to spend my time reading, writing, and connecting with people on social media, so it's easy to get into the sitting habit, I am getting a little better about getting off the chair and moving, but I wish I didn't have to! Wishing you a lovely weekend too!

  3. Writing is definitely therapeutic - I need to make more time to do that more. :)

I'm guilty of #2 on some days, especially when I haven't gotten much sleep the night before - which seems to be more and more lately.

Oooh! A week in the mountains in Colorado sounds heavenly!

Here's hoping the tremendous change this autumn ends up being a really really good thing. :)

    1. Writing is the best therapy for me, it diffuses any stress or negativity that I'm feeling. I get stressed when I don't have time, or enough quiet to write!

I think being chronically tired is a way of life for many of us, it certainly was when I was working, I was always exhausted. Now, if I am it's because I stayed awake too late last night!

Colorado is beautiful, it was so relaxing!

The change occurred at the end of July when our office closed and my job was terminated. It is turning out to be a blessing in many ways!

  4. Hang in there. Not working the old grind gets better as time goes by. It seems we are busier now that I am retired than we ever were before.

    1. We've decided that I will not hunt for a full-time job for now, Claudia. If we can make ends meet without it, it will be wonderful! Sitting on the little cabin porch was the sweetest!

  6. I find writing to be therapeutic, too.
I bet that trip to Colorado was awesome!
I hope that things will work out well for you and that you get used to this new way of life. It means more adventure. :)
    Have a great weekend!

    1. Writing is my passion, Suzanne! I think I could write 24/7 if I didn't need any sleep... or a clean house! ;-). I loved our time in Colorado, it was beautiful there, so green compared to here! I am thrilled about being home, I hope we can make it work financially, it is so nice to be free after all these years! Wishing the two of you a wonderful weekend as well!

  7. I write every day, too. It is like breathing. I do it longhand, though poetry and stories get transferred to the computer.

Sitting too much can aggravate fibromyalgia. Try some stretching exercises. There are also things you can do while sitting. It would help circulation and flexibility. Just caring about your health, not bossing you!

As for the job, you never know what is around the bend in life. Stay flexible and prepared!

Thanks for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins. I really enjoy and appreciate your thoughts, as always. Sharing and getting to know each other is what this is all about. Have a great week! Hugs.

    1. Writing longhand is beautiful, Annie, I used to write pages and pages that way. My hands won't allow that anymore, it's too painful holding that pen for very long. I can keyboard all day though, I guess because my hands are so used to doing that.

Sitting to much is bad for health in many ways. Years of office jobs sitting at desks take a toll on our lives!

I have no idea what is coming up next in my life, I'm leaving that in God's hands. Right now I'm just enjoying the time I've been given. It's wonderfully freeing after so many years of being an office slave. ;-)

I love Friendly Fill-Ins, they are quick and easy and it makes Friday's fun as I go around to read how others answer the questions of the week! Have a great weekend in the beautiful Fall weather! xoxo

    1. Job hunting at 62 is torturous, Mimi, employers would much rather hire someone young at low pay who has even more computer skills than I do, and will likely be there longer. I applied to dozens of positions, and I am an excellent employee. I believe that God knew I needed a break from that, so we decided to try me staying at home and hopefully working part time as needed in the months ahead.

    1. I look forward to the Fill-Ins each week, Ellen, it is fun! :-) I am not one bit sorry that I am unemployed now, it is heavenly. I filed for early retirement and so far we are doing ok, I will need to find some part-time work to supplement, and I would love to find some online writing opportunities to do that. I have a couple ideas! :-)
