Blockhead

"What's Chuck up to?" asked Angie, ever the curious neighbor. "I saw him carrying big blocks of wood into his shop last Saturday."

"I don't know," answered his wife.  "He's been acting really strange, working out there day and night. He says he's hearing voices that tell him to release people, and he won't let me in his woodshop."

Glancing at each other with a simultaneous thought, they headed out the back door under the cover of darkness to peer into the window where Chuck was working, totally unprepared for what they were about to see.

  5. What a great story this is Josie. I think it is safe to let him continue undisturbed with his works of art!

    1. Thank you Old Egg! The carving drove the story, obviously. I was imagining the mindset of someone who could create something this amazing! Yes indeed, let him continue!

    1. Thanks Dyanne, that was my reaction to the carving too, so I tried to put that in the story.
