Annie at McGuffy's Reader and Ellen at 15andmeowing are co-hosting a fun weekly meme called  Friendly Fill-In'sAll you have to do to participate is complete the statements and link your post up hereThis is a great way to get to know each other a little better!

Here are the this week's statements with the blanks:

1. I never thought I would miss _______________________________, but I do.
2. Every 4th of July, ______________________________________.
3. If I knew ______________, I would __________________.
4. I have trouble ___________________________________.

Here are my answers:

1. I never thought I would miss living in a small town, but in some ways I do.

2. Every 4th of July, I remember watching fireworks displays as a child and how magical they seemed.

3. If I knew how much I would regret not having a professional career, I would have found a way to stay in school and finish my education.

4. I have trouble finding enough time and energy to do the things I'd really like to do. Work leaves me feeling more tired at the end of day than it did when I was younger.

  1. Our fill-ins are a lot alike this week. It has been an odd week for me and I think my fill-ins reflect this. So glad it is going to be a long weekend!

  2. I live in the city limits of a small town and it makes me miss living in the woods even more. I loved watching fireworks as a child, too. I wasn't too happy the year one chased me, but I was already an adult for that one. :)

Energy is running low here, too. I wonder what we can do to perk ourselves back up to the vigor of our youth? Surely we're not just supposed to accept this whole "getting old and slow" bit peacefully. :)

    Have a blessed weekend!

  3. I remember fireworks as a teenager. I was younger and stupider than I am now, or at least I think so. Back then we took a lot of chances with fireworks. I wish I had half the money I spent on fireworks back then.

  4. Great answers! Have a fabulous weekend!

  5. Like you, i should have finished getting educated in something specific. The getting tired more easily part is hard to deal with, too.

  6. Small towns are wonderful. I grew up in cities, towns, country. I like rural or small towns. Fireworks are beautiful but scary. I wish that I had finished college, too. I think it would have been a great thing. I think as we get older we do become weighted down with everything. Hang in there, You are not alone. Hugs.

  7. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to live in a small town. I am still excited about fireworks!
