Annie at McGuffy's Reader and Ellen at 15andmeowing are co-hosting a fun weekly meme called  Friendly Fill-In'sAll you have to do to participate is complete the statements and link your post up hereThis is a great way to get to know each other a little better!

Here are the this week's statements:

1. I wish I could afford to hire someone to __________________.

2. Zucchini ____________________.

3.  One Summertime memory I recall is ___________________.

4.  This summer _________________.

Here are my answers:

1. I wish I could afford to hire someone to clean my house and make a good dinner for us every night. That would be so nice to come home to!

2. Zucchini is delicious fried, baked, sauteed, and in baked goods like zucchini bread.

3.  One Summertime memory I recall is spending time with my family at our lake cabin when I was young. Life was so easy then.

4.  This summer has been  way too hot. I will not be sad to see it end, I like autumn much better.

  1. I'd love to hire someone to clean my house - and maybe do the cooking once in a while, but I do love to cook, so that wouldn't be a deal breaker. ;)

So much love for zucchini! I really need to try it again and see if I've gotten over my dislike for it (aside from zucchini bread - I do love zucchini bread). :)

Life was so much easier as kids, wasn't it? And how cool you guys had a lake cabin to enjoy!

Sorry about your summer heat - I was not a fan when we lived in PA. Here in the Pacific Northwest we don't get the heat and humidity - I've been enjoying the 70-80 degree days with no humidity! But fall is still my all-time favorite season. :) Have a great weekend! :)

    Friday Friendly Fill-Ins for Fun!

  2. We are looking forward to autumn here, too!

  3. I won't be sad to see summer go, either. It seems like most people responded to #1 similar (wanting to hire someone to clean their home). I often think if I did have lots of money that I would not want anyone to clean or cook for me unless I were too old to do it. I rather enjoying doing these things for now. I'm not overly obsessed with it or anything, I just get a sense of accomplishment doing these tasks. Perhaps, it gives my day purpose. Thanks for popping in for a visit. Have a good weekend!

    Stupidity #humor #celebrate #fridayfillins

  4. I won't be sad to see summer go either. I'll miss the sunflowers, but that's pretty much it. :) The heat will not be missed one iota!

I agree with you about zucchini. It is just all the way around yummy. :)

    Have a great weekend!

  5. Spring is by far the best season in Texas. It is always hot here, but Spring brings beautiful wild flowers. We lived in this house two years and did not know there wasn't a heater in it. We never had to turn one on.

  6. Thank you for participating, nice answers. Summer is more fun when you are a carefree child :) I prefer Fall too. Have a great weekend! Try to keep cool.

  7. Love your answers. When young, we're carefree and innocent. We enjoy even the simplest of pleasures.
I hate summers in India because of scorching heat and suffocating humidity. I love early winters and blazing beauty of autumn.

  8. 1. Would hire someone to help with all the repairs needed around here.

    2. Zucchini bread is good.

    3. Most summers and winters were filled with memories of work.

    4. This summer is more of the same and seems hotter.

Now you may see why I never fill in the blanks.

    Have a very blessed week.

  9. I am so thankful that I don't have be outside much. The heat will not take a day off. Always hot here in summer but this summer has been incredibly hot. Now I want some zucchini bread!

  10. I am so thankful that I don't have be outside much. The heat will not take a day off. Always hot here in summer but this summer has been incredibly hot. Now I want some zucchini bread!

  11. LOL Every summer in Texas has been way too hot!

    : )

  12. Zucchini is very versatile, isn't it. I would love someone to clean my house at least once a week. It would feel like freedom.

  13. A clean house and hot meal when you come home from work: It sounds like you need a wife! Ha! Just kidding. I know, that has always been my job, even when I did work. Bill does appreciate it, though. He always has.

You are blessed to have had a lake house! I am sure those are great memories, too. I remember all of the times we went to Galveston or Texas City Dike, on camping trips. One Summer we went fishing near Sargent, Texas. We rented a cottage on the canal that emptied into East Matagorda Bay. I caught a flounder, then lost it as it tore my line out! Ahh...memories. favourite! I look forward to its cool weather, colours, and reflective moments.

Thanks for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins! Hugs!
