Mark Twain is one of my very favourites, for so many reasons. I think it may have to do with the region he is from, as many of my ancestors hail from The River area, too. Twain is both brilliant and funny, like my Grampy.Having seen this comparison dilemma happen, I agree with this quote. I try to stay away from this because it is often hurtful. To understand the process it is usually something that one has to learn on their own through experience, either first or secondhand. Hugs, my friend.
Twain was very wise, and i will try to remember this quote at appropriate times.
Totally agree but don't always follow the advice.
Very true. I am very happy and thankful for what I have.
Amen and Amen!! This is one of the truest statements I've ever heard.
I just love the apples and oranges in the background. I think learning to love ourselves and to accept who and where we are with out comparing ourselves to others is one of life's great lessons. That said, I wish I were a millionaire.
