  2. They are there, those things that make us smile. We just planted more flowers, including more sunflowers. Ours have gotten as high as 14-15'! They are so much fun for the birds, especially come Autumn. The squirrels try to steal the entire heads off of the sunflowers, sitting on the cedar fence, wrestling with them! Smiles!

    1. Sunflowers do make me smile! I love driving past fields of them in Kansas! I can just imagine how your birds and squirrels enjoy them. I would love to see a video of a squirrel trying to steal the whole thing for himself! :-)

  4. My day started with a smile when Teddy shooed Jack away and came to wake me up with purrs and a cuddle.

    1. What a wonderful way to wake up, nothing beats the sound of purring, it's the sound of total contentment and love! :-)

  5. My clematis bloomed!! Big bright purple flowers! This is thrilling because I thought I had killed the poor thing, but it came back this year bigger than ever. So big in fact, I had to get Left Brain to make me a trellis big enough to contain that climbing vine.
    Peonies are next! :)
