  4. Too often, people learn this only when they have to. Rarely do people learn it by choice. However, some do know. Those in devout religious service know this by vows of poverty. Basically, it is the vow that they make promising to live a simple life. The vows are all based upon the life that Christ led and meant to bring each closer to God. They usually do.

    1. I think it is sad when people have to learn the hard way through fire, flood or other disaster, what they can live without. Better to realize that you don't need all that stuff in your life, it takes so little, really. Happiness is in who you have not what you have. I totally agree that separating ourselves from the need and desire for material things brings us closer to our spiritual nature, our true nature as children of God.

  5. I have been doing A Lot of that lately. In several aspects of my life. And I can definitely say, gosh do you feel Lighter after!!
