jabberings, jottings, and jumbled thoughts
When my brother was sick whenever he would get upset about something I would always tell him it would be alright. He said he heard it from me so often that when the time came it should be put on my tombstone. Your thought for the day is true.
Thank you, Patricia! I really believe it is true, we have to have faith that God has us in the palm of His hand, and is looking out for us whatever life brings us through.
That is so true.
I do believe that life has a way of working things out again, not always in the way we expect, but in a way that enables us to go on.
Something like 90% of what we worry about never happens, thus don't bother.
That's absolutely true, Mimi! There is plenty of tough stuff to deal with every day without adding extra worry about things we can't control.
I don't think it always works out okay. However, it does work out, one way or another. Worry won't change that. You deal with it, and you go on. Learn and grow.
Maybe the answer lies in defining what is "ok", ok on our terms or ok as in what God wants for us. I believe we are never given more than we can handle, even if not always easily or gracefully. We do learn and grow from what we go through, that's part of the plan. But for sure everything doesn't work out the way we might wish it would. Life is a mixture of sorrows and joys.
It's so funny, I look at things just a WEEK ago and think now; girl -- why you be so anxious and worried over so small a thing?!! But, it did seem big at the time. I think a big part of it is our world just being so busy and moving so fast all the time. There's not enough time to catch your breath, pause, rest. So you feel in panic mode all the time.
You re absolutely right, and each new issue seems overwhelming when we don't have peace of mind to deal with things. I have found that most problems that seem huge and insurmountable at the onset have a way of working themselves out or at least reducing to a manageable size. I hate the business of our lives, it is exhausting.
Your comments are always appreciated... they make me smile! :-)
