  1. I do my best to do something I enjoy every day. And if, for one reason or another, I don't get to choose something, I choose to find a way to enjoy what I'm doing. :)

  3. So many times we forget to stop and smell the roses, as they say. We live such busy lives working and caregiving and maintaining a home, a million other things, we forget to take time for enjoyment, and to take time for ourselves. This is a lovely reminder.

  6. It is sometimes hard to balance responsibilities with things we want to do for pure fun. It is great when they coincide.

  8. At some time when it seemed appropriate, just popping up, I would tell my classes that I had enjoyed every job that I have had, and that the working life is too long to be staying with a job that they could not enjoy. I remember only one job that was unpleasant and it wasn't really a job. I was helping a grouchy older lady in return for an old creaky basement apartment, by doing things like keeping the furnace stoker filled, shoveling the walks, and taking the fallen leaves away. Plus other things. She grouched about my timing and times with the leaves so I left. She said I couldn't just leave, I had to give some notice. I told her that to me it was like a job and that "I QUIT." And I did, there and then, and packed my stuff and left. I'm not sure where I stayed, I think with my friends family. He was still living at home.

  10. Whatever I am doing Now - if I am committing my whole heart and am fully Present in Spirit; that's my happy. My happiness doesn't rest on conditions, because the conditions are always changing. All I have is Now. And it's good. :)
