Jumbled Thoughts

As you no doubt noticed, I changed my blog background today.  I'm not totally pleased with this one, but I don't have more time to search for better options at the moment, and  I was tired of the seeing the snowflakes. I think we're all tired of snowflakes for this year!  Thankfully, we're enjoying some gorgeous 70 and 80 degree days here in Texas this week, hard to believe it's winter.  Before long I'll be grumbling because the heat is miserable.  Yup, it's hard to keep me happy for long. :-)

Speaking of Texas, you might have noticed that I've also changed the title of my blog. My blog has gone through several incarnations in the years I've been writing.  When I left my last husband nine years ago it appropriately became "Picking Up Pieces."  Then I moved to Texas to marry Papa Bear and begin a whole new life here, so it obviously became "Two Shoes In Texas."  But that can be a bit misleading at times, since most of what I write isn't directly related to Texas though it is a pretty awesome state, so I decided it was about time to call it something new and more befitting of the content.  I suspect you'll agree with me that I've got it right with "Josie's Jumbled Thoughts!"

Here's to infusing new life into the look, and into the content in the weeks and months ahead. I hope you'll continue to join me here. Blogging has proved to be one of the greatest blessings of my life!

It's now 78 degrees in the house and I think I just might go switch the AC on for a bit to cool things down.  AC in February, I never would have believed that would be a reality in my life, but then I never would have believed I'd end up living in Texas either.  What an adventure the past sixty-two years have been!

  3. I think it is refreshing to make changes to our blogs. As long as your address stays the same and I can find you on my list it's all good.

  4. I love it! I'm working on changing things around on my blog, too. Mostly cosmetic - I want a cleaner layout, maybe some different images. As for the name...I'm torn between keeping and renaming.
I'll always read no matter what you call yourself!

    1. Maybe we've started early on Spring cleaning, Lisa! :-) I keep mine pretty simple, I want the posts and sidebar info to be the focus. I've liked your blog name, and I'm sure if you change it I'll like that too!

  5. The AC in February...I can't even imagine it. I do know about being tired of snowflakes, though! :)
It's fun to rework the blog every now and again. I'll still keep reading.

    1. It certainly was strange, but nice to have at the flip of a switch. It only stayed on briefly, but nicely cooled things down. We have had just a tiny bit of snow here this year, and that was enough as far as I'm concerned. Yes, I wanted to come here and see something different, but nothing too drastic. The background will change again soon when I find exactly what I want there. :-)

  7. LOVE the new title! I saw it in my email feed and I was "oh, who is it that blog? What a great name!" :)
I am currently watching snowflakes fall down... and my daughter outside "shoveling" the walk way with our outdoor broom. LOL Good luck with that honey.

    1. I think the name is a fairly accurate description of the content. :-) I love watching snowflakes fall... through the window, while sitting next to a warm fireplace, definitely not outside in the cold!

  8. Josie's Jumbled Thoughts (or just Josie's Jumble) is a great name for your blog. Your posts are always from your heart (and mind) and the title leaves the subject matter open to EVERYTHING. I do like the background. I like the way the swish seems to snake through all the posts and add movements to the scrolling. As always, I will enjoy reading what you write.

    1. Thanks Val. I think it will work for now, I was ready for a change. At some point down the road I may change it yet again! :-). I am ok with the background, it is peaceful and flowing. I like it when the post text is easy on the eyes to read, so I try to keep the background muted. Thank you for always stopping by to read!
