It's A Boy!

There's a new kid in town!
We adopted six-month old Mojo from the Midland Humane Coalition at the PETsMART Adoption  Event today as a play pal for Toby.  Mojo's mother was pregnant when she was rescued from an ally.
He's been hand-raised and is very social.  He knew just how to play his cards when we first saw him, licking Papa Bear's finger when he put it in the cage, and then rolling over belly-up so he could have his tummy rubbed.  Great job at reeling in Papa Bear, little Mojo! :-)
He's already settling in amazingly well, interacting and playing chase with Toby, which is quite a switch for Toby, since he's used to chasing his sisters, who will be delighted with some peace and quiet, once they get over warily eyeing the new kid.
Mojo isn't the least bit nervous or afraid, and is so darn cute!  His chin is actually half white and half black. He is long and lean and will likely grow to be a big kitty.  And yes, he is of course neutered.

Nothing like a new furkid in the house to liven things up and give us lots of reasons to smile!

    1. Thanks Ivy! He is such a delightful little guy, and is already settling in nicely. He loves to play, and he loves to snuggle when he's tired himself out. He's a keeper for sure!

    1. Thank you Val! He is already brightening things up around here a lot, and he has a wonderfully mellow personality. The funny part is that he stands up to Toby and Toby's needed that for some time! They will make awesome buddies and tag partners. :-)

    1. Thank you Linda Kay! He is really cute, and so soft! My daughter commented that his face marking reminded her of the mask from Phantom of the Opera! It kind of does :-). Kittens are an endless source of amusement, and he's not so tiny that we have to watch out for him, he can hold his own. The other furkids are adjusting well to the newcomer, just what we had hoped for!

  4. He is so handsome. I love his markings. What fun to have a new kitty. But I don't know if I could handle five. I have a friend who lives in my building who has six! I am not a good enough housekeeper for more than two.

    1. Hi is a handsome boy, Patricia, I love his face "mask"! I am always amazed at how well our kitty clan gets along, each with his/her own personality and role in the group, yet all living peacefully together. Our house is always a bit furry, people who don't love critters wouldn't be too happy if they drop by wearing dark pants, but to us it's just worth that! :-)

    1. I knew what you meant, Mimi! I always get their names mixed up and call the girls "he" and the boys "she". I can pass it off as old age. :-). Mojo and Toby are getting along great, interacting all the time and playing peacefully, not one squabble between them. I couldn't be happier with how it is working out, exactly what we hoped for. They entertain each other!
