A to Z Reasons to Smile - "D"

Each day this month I'll be sharing a list of things corresponding to the alphabet letter of the day that encourage and uplift me, the little things that make smile. I hope you'll join me, and maybe add some of your own in the comments!
"D" Things That Make Me Smile...

Daughter - I am blessed with an amazing daughter pictured above. She turned 40 yesterday, it seems impossible that she could be that old.  Her life has not been easy and I am so very proud of the wonderful woman she has grown up to be!

Dad - Such sweet memories of times shared.  He crossed over to the Spirit World several years ago, at the age of 84.  How I miss him!

Daffodils - Nothing says Spring like a bunch of bright yellow daffodils!

Deviled Eggs -  Mmmm, love 'em!  So does Papa Bear!  We have them fairly often.

Dice With Buddies -  My new time sink... a digital version of Yahtzee, that requires minimal thought and is a great "minute mind break" on a hectic work day.  Always looking for new playing partners, email me for my game ID! :-)

Dolphins - They really do seem to be smiling!  I love how velvety they feel, and how easily they interact with humans. Their level of intelligence is amazing!

Diversity - This is a really, really important thing  to me!  What a horribly boring world it would be if we all looked the same, did the same things, and held the same beliefs.  Celebrate diversity rather than fear those who are different from you!

Dollars - Let's face it, a handful of dollars - any denomination - makes us all smile!  Money is not inherently evil, what matters is what we do with it... use it for good!

Dreams - Good dreams are so sweet to wake up remembering, especially those where we've met up with friends or family members we haven't seen in a long time, or the ones where we travel to mysterious and wonderful places!

Doers of Good Deeds - My favorite group of people... those who intentionally seek out ways to show compassion and be of service to other living beings.  We can all be this way if we try!

  1. Josie, this is another wonderful post. A day at the beach is always special when dolphins are present. Happy Easter. Enjoy some deviled eggs.

  5. When you tell me you celebrate diversity, I believe you. You have to in order to be that sweet and still put up with me. I just wish the rest of the world meant it when they say it.
