"A" Things That Make Me Smile...
Amethyst Quartz - Both in it's natural state such as this beautiful piece that Papa Bear gave me, and in jewelry like the ring I wear every day. Amethyst is my birthstone!
Avocados - I love them, I could eat one every day! I like them in omelets, sandwiches and tacos, stuffed with chicken salad, even sliced and drizzled with chocolate as a treat!
Acceptance - Something we all seek, that feels so good when we have it and even better when we extend it to others. Acceptance of what life brings us is important too!
Afghans - Knitted or crocheted, and stitched together with love. Wonderful to give and to receive, they feel so great to wrap up in on chilly nights. I've made several over the years. I love working with soft, brightly-colored yarn!
Angels - I believe in angels... surrounding us, protecting us, guiding us, helping us, bringing us messages and gifts from the Spirit World.
African Violets - Such beautiful little flowers amidst dark furry leaves. I remember fondly a whole row of them in pots in a West-facing window sill when I lived in Germany. They love sunshine!
Appreciation - Both expressing it and receiving it. It is so nice to know that you aren't being taken for granted, and having your efforts acknowledged!
Amazing Grace - the song - preferably accompanied by bagpipes. One of my most favorite hymns. Soul-stirring, to say the least!
Adventures - What would life be without them? The excitement of experiencing the unknown... and so much better when shared!
Agape - brotherly love, charity; the love of God for man and of man for God - love in its purest form!
