E is for Encouragement

Six Sentences From Atop My Soapbox

 ~ENCOURAGEMENT~
Encourage someone - change a life!

We've all heard stories about how one person reaching out saved a life by giving that person hope. It is amazing how much difference a bit of encouragement can make - a smile, a kind word, an act of caring.

One day last week a coworker, who recently lost some weight, wore a pretty new outfit and received several comments throughout the day on how nice she looked and how well the new dress suited her. It was fun to watch her begin to feel good about herself; by the end of the day she was nearly glowing!

Sometimes what we need most is someone to believe in us, to reassure us that we are good enough and strong enough, and can accomplish whatever needs to be done. Make it your mission to encourage at least one person every day!

  1. Encouragement is so very important. At times I have struggled forward with never a word of encouragement. your post is probably one of the best I have read in ages.

By the way, I came here to ask a question. Where do you get your letters? I want cursive letters to use for needlepoint, but can never find them. The place that sold me the needlepoint fabric is long forgotten and far away, so I thought maybe I could just get the cursive letters with flowers from the internet and go from there.

Yes, that was the reason I came and then found your profound words.
    Thanks.

    1. Hi Linda! That's for dropping by to visit! I found this set of letters by searching Google for Alphabet sets. I just emailed you a link to the page. There are lots of others to choose from too, and I bet you can even search for needlepoint alphabet letters and find more sets you might like :-)

I'm glad you liked my post too, there have been times in my life when I felt so very all alone, and almost invisible, and then there were very dark times when the encouragement of a few caring people.... fellow bloggers, literally kept me alive and believing in brighter days to come... and they sure have! I am all about encouragement, I see it at as my purpose in life! :-)

    2. Several years ago, I searched the internet, needlepoint sites, cross stitch sites, all the no avail. I will send you the post where I have the kind of letter I have been searching for far and wide. I looked on the site you sent me. I need to search there longer. Thanks.
