30 Days of Thankful - Day 9

I am thankful for all the precious memories I hold in my heart.  Often someone will write a note or post a picture that reminds me of sweet things from the past... like the quilts my grandmother used to make, or reading to my children when they were small!  Places, people, special events... so many good things that make the darker memories pale in comparison. I could write a book on good memories alone, and I know that I am very blessed!

    1. Thank you Mimi, the older we get the more precious memories we "collect". I don't want to spend much time dwelling on past shadows, I'd much rather think of happy times, good times, It isn't so much about the number of them that we have, but that we take the time to replay those good tapes now and then.

  2. Love the good memories. The blessings and the stories that bring such huge smiles and remind us during the tough times that the Victory is surely just around the corner and that this too will soon be a treasured memory. I hear you about being able to write a book. Homemade quilts from your grandmother sounds like wonderful memories to me. Love your thankful today. Warms my heart and blesses me as it stirs my own womderful memories from the past. Thank you.

    1. Thank you Beth! Imagine if we collected all the thankful thought we posted in a book and bound them together, wow, in a year's time I would have quite a volume! Then, on the days when we struggle to find good, we could go back and read and remember!

    1. Yes indeed Terri, if I count every happy memory as a coin of blessing, I am a very wealthy woman indeed... and among the brightest of those coins are the magical small moments!
