30 Days of Thankful - Day 4 - Blogging for Peace

I am thankful beyond measure for the amazing gift of being able to meet people from all over the world, share our thoughts through blogging, and develop friendships that will last a lifetime. What we discover is that we are all far more alike than we are different... peace begins with understanding!

  1. Mother Teresa is a great role model. She did Christ's work, as He did it. She was the first to remind people of this. I don't think we need to understand to achieve peace. We only need to accept and respect, as we are told to do by our prophets, sages and saints.

    1. What we need to understand, in the words of Mother Teresa is that "we all belong to each other". We are not different, we are not enemies, we are family. I believe that sharing our thoughts through blogging leads to this understanding, it certainly has for me. Our situations may be vastly different from each other, but in our hearts we have the same joys, fears, and hopes! While we may not always understand the "whys", understanding at least this much leads to acceptance.

    1. I have to disagree on that, Lotta Joy. Every single person whose life she touched was changed. Those of us who read her words are changed. Change doesn't happen overnight, the world won't be changed in the blink of an eye. But one-by-one we can begin to make a difference. I will always believe that to be true.

  3. We can only eventually change the world by changing one life at a time.

  4. We must look at the world, with all it's imperfections, from a heart of love. And we must do the same for each other, allowing every person to be who they are, looking at them from a place of love...even when they're a hot mess. ( In our humble opinions LOL) Many days I fail, but with each new day I have a chance to get it right.

  5. Have you ever read Glennon, over at Momastery? She's a BIG fan of Mother Teresa, and writes beautifully about her in a post or so.

I think Mother Teresa was an amazing, wonderful lady :) Thank you for sharing these images.
