Two Shoes Tuesday #48 - Think or Sleep

Welcome to Two Shoes Tuesday...  a place for those who love to write!

There are two word prompts to choose from... you can use whichever one inspires you. You are not required to include them both. You do not have to include the prompt word in your post, but please use it as your theme. You are welcome to write a post for each prompt word, if you like. Posts unrelated to either word prompt will be deleted from the link list.

Your contribution must be in the form of an original poem, essay, or short story (fiction or non-fiction), and it must be a new piece - not something drawn from your other writings or archives.

Your link must go directly to your post for Two Shoes Tuesday, and somewhere in the post you must provide a link to Two Shoes Tuesday.  It doesn't need to be big or fancy, just a text or logo link at the end of your post will be fine. You can add a link anytime through Saturday night.

If you like, grab the InLinkz code below and add it to the html at the bottom of your post to share the link list on your blog, and to make it easy for you to visit other participants. Also, please take some time to visit as many of the other TST participants as possible during the week, we all love feedback on our efforts!  Feel free to email me at jts.2000@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

The October 8th writing prompts to choose from are Think and Sleep.

  1. Apologies for this piece coming out so dark. I never know what my brain will come out with!

    1. For me it wasn't so much dark as it was real, Robin. A theme we all have thoughts on. You've see me come up with some very dark posts from time to time too, as I often say, I am all of it.. the sacred and the profane. This is what life is made of. There was a lesson in your story, it spoke loud and clear!

  2. I hope this offering is acceptable. It has been hectic here, so writing has been sporadic. Thank you (as always), and all who participate for this writing group. I appreciate everyone.

  4. Many thanks to each of you who take the time to write and share here with us! I can't tell you how much fun it is to watch my phone light up with messages of new links being added, and then waiting anxiously for my work day to be over so that I can read each offering and enjoy how differently each person approaches the prompts and spins them into their own post!
