Tears of Joy

I am late to the Two Shoes Tuesday party today, but it's not officially midnight yet, so I guess it still counts.  I have a great excuse though, you see I've been a bit distracted and have actually, for once, put the laptop away and just enjoyed the day... the last few days in fact, and more to come.

We left home last Friday after work and headed down the highway, Nashville bound, with my daughter's sweet kitty Chloe riding with us, returning her to her mommy - my daughter.  We've been keeping her for the last three years for her, and finally she now has a home of her own and can have her beloved kitty again.  Chloe was a great rider, and it was a happy reunion, she has settled right in to her new surroundings and will love the big house to explore, being back with her two feline sisters, and a beautiful yard to play in.  We will miss her, but we were glad to return her to the mommy.

Spent Sunday evening with my son, last evening with my daughter, and the entire day and evening together with both of them.  We had an amazing time!  Tears of laughter, tears of joy, wonderful memories made together.  I am incredibly proud of my kids, and the amazing, caring adults they've grown  up to be.  I can't tell you how much good it did my heart to spend time together as a family!

I'll be around to read and comment on everyone's posts tomorrow as we head down the road for Missouri, I just wanted to check in and let you know where I am and why I am missing in action from my blog this week.  As I've said many times, life trumps blogging, and it should!  A tired, happy mommy headed to bed here, smiling, content,  heading to bed, my amazing husband by my side. I am blessed beyond words in ways beyond counting, and I am grateful, so very grateful for this time shared!

  5. I knew you were having a great time. I also knew we wouldn't see you for a few days either. I'd put my computer away too. Just enjoy your tears of joy honey.

Have a fabulous and safe trip. Big hugs. ☺

  9. That's ok, i'm late too also. Although I don't have a good reason. It was written yesterday though, but I just wanted to do some revise and editing to it, but I got distracted by a video game that I wanted to do a review on and I am trying to finish it, almost done, but I wanted to join in.
Glad you were able to take Chloe back to her mommy. My little sister had just moved back in with us and had to bring her cat from New York in a car with all of her belongings. That must have been fun. I was worried about the cat being stuck in the car that long.
I'm glad that you were able to see your kids and got to take some time off! I hope you have a safe trip back home. : )
