Awww...Mondays - September 16th

This one is for my grandmother
who used to hand feed peanuts to the squirrel on her front step,
and for my daughter who lovingly feeds the squirrels in her yard every day.

  1. How cute! I do Squirrel Appreciation Day every year, and have a "Squirrels for Peace" T-shirt. Bill put up 3 squirrel feeders, so we feed them along with the birds. We love them. Thanks for sharing this!

  2. Your grandmother sounds like an amazing lady!

Thanks so much for your comment on McGuffy Ann's site (her review of my book - Dangled Carat) - you are so right! Relationships are never easy - but I guess that is what makes them so special...

  5. Awww, there aren't many folks that can hand feed squirrels. You're grandmother must have been filled to the brim with love.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday. Hugs. :)

  6. Cute picture. I miss seeing the squirrels...I live above the trees so they don't get on my balcony. But then they would make Teddy crazy.

  9. This is the part where I tell you a gruesome squirrel story. I was once in the park with a little friend when I was about 6 or 7. We were playing on some boulders while our Mothers visited. We climbed to a top rock and sat sunning and talking on it. Suddenly, a cute little squirrel ran up to us, jumped into my friend's lap and bit her on her knee. She screamed, the squirrel fled and by the time we scrambled down the rock, her knee was the size of a grapefruit. She had to get rabies shots.

    The end. (sorry!)
