Josie's Got A New Pair of Shoes

When I first started this blog in April of 2007, I  had finally found the courage to leave my then-husband, and had been living on my own for just a few months.  It was an extremely difficult time as I struggled to pick up the pieces, rediscover who I was, and figure out what I wanted my new life to be.  I decided on the pen name of Josie Two Shoes to represent standing on my own two feet, since Josie Two Feet didn't seem quite as poetic :-).  I also chose a piece of artwork by Vincent Van Gogh called simply "Shoes" as a logo to represent me, a pair of worn out work shoes that I identified with well.

A lot has happened since then. In 2008 I moved to Texas to begin a new life with Papa Bear, and next month we'll be celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary!  Everything about my life has changed, and the woman who began this blog has undergone quite a transformation! When I look back, that seems like another life that took place long ago, and I don't miss it one bit!

Recently I decided it was time to do away with those old worn out shoes, and find a bright new pair to represent the joyful, thankful heart that is mine today.  Going online and searching for options, I happened upon the above designer shoes featuring cats hand painted by Marilyn Davies, for sale in her Etsy store KrazzyCloset.  Cat aficionado that I am, I fell instantly in love with them.  I emailed Marilyn and we began a joint effort to create the perfect new logo button featuring her awesome shoes.  I couldn't be more pleased with the button's she designed for me, and I hope you like it too!

If you love these shoes as much as I do, you might like to check out buying a pair for yourself or a great gift.  KrazzyCloset  currently has the above style available in size 7 with blue laces and size 8 with pink laces, and also in Converse hi-tops in a size 7.  Marilyn tells me that she also has a pair in size 10 that she hasn't painted yet, but can do up if someone is interested.  I can't thank her enough for allowing me to feature her bright and beautiful shoes as the official new Josie Two Shoes logo.  Feel free to grab my new button, and then drop by KrazzyCloset and check out all the cool and creative things in Marilyn's store!
Goodbye old shoes, you've served me well!

    1. Thanks, Abelle, there is not a day that I'm not amazed at how much has changed in my life, and to think that I believed for so many years that there was no end in sight and no possibility of things getting better... wrong, wrong, wrong!!!

    1. Thank you, Shimon! Change can be a good thing if it's done for the right reasons, I needed a more cheerful image. I am not that dark, dreary, defeated girl anymore!
