Monday Quiz - 2/10/13

Acting Balanced

It's time to join Heather at Acting Balanced  and Wayne at Touristic for their blog hop Monday Quiz About Me.

There are FOUR QUESTIONS for everyone to answer, and then you have the option to add a fifth question of your own for those who are visiting your blog to answer in the comment section, along with commenting on your answers to the week's questions.

Here are this week's Questions:
1. Do you tend to be more logically or emotionally driven in your decision-making?
2. Do you take vitamin or other supplements? Do you feel that they actually work?
3. Have you ever kissed someone and just knew they were not the right person or vise versa?
4. Why shouldn't the woman pay for a Valentine's Day date?

And here's my question for you to answer in my comment section on this post:
5. What was one of the best Valentine's Day gifts you've ever given or received?

HERE ARE  MY ANSWERS TO THE ABOVE:

1. Do you tend to be more logically or emotionally driven in your decision-making?  I tend to be emotionally reactive, but when it comes to big or serious decisions I usually think it thru pretty carefully.  I think you have to follow where your heart leads, but you also have to use common sense to make sure your heart isn't leading you down a crooked path or off the cliff!

 2. Do you take vitamin or other supplements? Do you feel that they actually work?  Not in massive dosages like some folks choose to do. I do take Vitamin D, calcium and iron per my doctor's direction - most women are deficient in all three.  I also drink protein shakes and veggie juice that are both vitamin fortified.  I don't know if it helps, but I figure it can't hurt.  If I believe it makes me feel better, then it does.  I can sense when my Vitamin D and iron levels are low, I start feeling run down, both physically and emotionally.

 3. Have you ever kissed someone and just knew they were not the right person or vise versa?  Definitely. Chemistry is part of the love equation. If there isn't any spark, there is never going to be a fire!

 4. Why shouldn't the woman pay for a Valentine's Day date?  Strangely (at least to me), many women tend to think that Valentine's Day is all about them, what their guy is going to give them or do to make it special for them.  It should work both ways... what you are doing to make it special for your partner?  The guy doesn't have to pay, they could take turns or they could both chip in so they could be a bit more extravagant without breaking one or the other's budget. If you are in a relationship where you have to keep proving your love by what you spend or do, it's time to look  for someone else who appreciates you more for who and what you are than for what's in your wallet! We don't make a really big production or spend a bundle for Valentine's Day, love is something you should be showing and sharing every day!

5. What was one of the best Valentine's Day gifts you've ever given or received?  Five years ago, when we were engaged, I gave Papa Bear a tattoo he'd been wanting for years... it's a beautiful eagle and flag that's on his forearm.  It was done by a skilled artist and he's received hundreds of compliments on it.  He always tells people who comment, that I gave it to him for Valentine's Day, that makes me proud! :-)

  4. I think the greatest valentine I every got was that dance in the kitchen on my first Valentine's Day with my husband that I wrote about on my blog last Thursday. I knew I loved him, but that dance told me I knew that if there was ever going to be a "the one" for me, he was it.

  5. My best Valentine's gift? Our first Valentine's Day, hubby and I had only been dating for 2 months, but he got me a personalize silver picture frame that had the date "December 13, 2003" engraved on it and a picture of us dancing together on the night of December 13th 2003 - the day we started dating. Every year for a few years after, we would get a new picture taken in December and replace it in the frame.
