  4. Oh! I am so very sorry for your loss. 16 years is old for kitty, sure, but it's NEVER long enough for us. Bless you for your devotion to animals and I hope you can take comfort in knowing you gave Stormy a wonderful life. xoxoxo.

  5. It hurts. It hurts. It hurts. They are SO sweet that their time here is much too short. I'm glad he had a loving home. Few do and their time on earth is full of horror and pain. Stormy had LOVE while he was here.

After we set Lucky free, I could not pull out of my depression and ANGER. The ONLY reason I got another furchild was because this particular furchild desperately needed ME.

I concentrated so much on healing the little guy that I didn't feel like I was being 'unfaithful' to my Lucky's memory. Now I have another baby that causes me fear just THINKING of his numbered years. It hurts. It hurts. It hurts.

  7. So sorry to hear about your loss, I can only hope Stormy moved on in a peaceful and pain free way. I have never been a cat person. I am still mourning the loss of my best friend Bandit who left us a year ago last June. He looked so much like my gravatar I couldn't resist using this.

  10. Not much of an animal lover myself, mostly, when people write about their pets, I've make lots of snarky comments. But not when they write about the loss of them; then I offer my sincere condolencses. We all experience closeness and loss, and it's no good material for snark. Sorry about your loss.

  20. Hi Josie, I am very sorry for your loss. Stormy's pictures tell mr that he was a really happy cat and that he led a good life.

I think it is God's plan that we outlive our pets for our own good in the we can have practice grieving. We lost out Adi Jane beagle dog a month ago. She wa my buddy. I did an inward double sob writing that last just now.

You will miss her, probably forever, and always remember what a good friend you lost. I do Adi, Von, and Farrah (our only cat) and think of the good times and tough ones we had together.

I know he will be in heaven, Revelation 8:18 plus.

  22. I sincerely thank each of your for the kindness and compassion shown. It is such comfort to know I can always turn to my blog friends to understand what is going on in my life and to be supportive. I know that I made the right choice for Stormy, he passed very quickly and painlessly. This is what you do for an animal friend that you love. The house is much too quiet now, my lap feels very emtpy, and our four other cats are obvioiusly aware his absence as well. Time passes, hearts heal, but I know that his little spirit is out there running free, love and memories of time together will remain forever.
