You certainly do. Well said in few words.
Thanks Gail, my life was much better when I reached this realization!
Of course you do. Why hang aroung downers.
Exactly! Those "psychic vamipires" can drain us dry!
Amen! Great advise.
Thanks Patricia! It took me a long time to learn this!
Absolutely! You go, Girl!
Happiness is having one or two awesome people in your life who add so much joy! ;-)
What's your view on relatives who do the same?
The same answer, Lotta Joy... keep them at arm's distance (as I do with a couple of mine) and spend your time and energies on the people bring you joy!
Honey, I decided that about one year ago. Life was being made way too short, having to (1)dread seeing them (2) survive seeing them (3) keep rehashing the visit ad-nauseum.Life is so much more pleasant when we go the extra mile to ensure that it stays pleasant.
LOL Lotta Joy, that about sums it up, and I agree, life is too short!
L O V E it Josie <3 I am so over happiness sucking people!!! aka -in-laws LOL
To my thinking Janice, anyone who can't appreciate and respect me as I am is not someone I need in my life. There is enough negativity in the world without having it in your close circle of friends and family.
I am working at it...My 6ws is here:
It is something one learns along the way, it is good to get along with people, and good to be kind to everyone, but it is not good to let people be abusive or take advantage of you. We learn where to draw the line in what is acceptible and postive in our lives, and what is detrimental.
Good for you, Josie. Life is too short and you are your own person...
Thanks Jim, you are right. I have to choose what and who are best for me, and what I don't need in my life. It is so much more peaceful now, no drama allowed!
OH YEAH. I couldn't agree more. Hear hear!!!!
I knew this one would resonate with you too, Selma! :-)
How many conversations did we have on that topic joz? ;))
Indeed Soul, you were there when I went thru that lovely situation with my sister way back when. You know what I mean!
Your comments are always appreciated... they make me smile! :-)
