The Sun Will Come Up

What's up? The SUN!  It's time for Six Word Saturday and the words of the day are...
The Sun will come up HOT!!!

It's been an unbelievably hot summer... almost everywhere.  Here in West Texas we've had day after day over 100 degrees, and this past week it's reached107 every darn day!  I don't even want to see this month's electric bill for AC. When I walk across the  parking lot at five in the afternoon it's like walking on a bed of hot coals!  It's in the 90's by 8 AM and still there at 9 PM. The hot tub feels like a boiling lobster pot, no heater needed.  The forecast says it's supposed to drop to 99 degrees tomorrow... wow, a "cool spell"!  Hurry up Fall!

  1. We are hot down here too, Josie. :)
But we are staying in the mid and hight nineties.

Our cool spell will be 92. It was cool though in Reliant Stadium last Sunday. Cool in more ways than one:

    Try to stay cool

  7. This is our hottest, driest summer in many years. The nation is having what the media calls a "mega-drought", on top of the heat. It is devastating crops, ours included. It is so sad, and far reaching. It boggles the mind that the US sold our "surplus" (?) corn to China. And dry heat?? When it is this hot, I sweat...that is wet! *lol* Just sayin'. Stay cool & safe.

  10. I'm in OK, so I completely get it. The weather folk have said we'll get down to 100 or even 99 in a few days, too, and I'm ready for it to happen. Now we've got fires all over the place, including one only a few miles from our house. I am definitely ready for some cooler temps, and maybe even some rain.

  14. I´ve seen that on the news and it´s almost hard to believe, since we´re having the rainiest and coldest summer ever here. Shall I send some rain over?
